DataFactZ Data Science Engineer to Present at IEEE SusTech Conference
NORTHVILLE, Michigan (October 7, 2016) – Vivek Vajjala, a data science engineer with Northville, Michigan-based analytics company, DataFactZ, will speak to attendees of IEEE’s SusTech Conference in Phoenix on October 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. The SusTech Conference aims to explore the development and application of science, engineering, and technology to promote sustainability.
Vajjala’s presentation, “A Novel Solution to Use Big Data Technologies and Improve Demand Response Program in Aggregated Residential Houses,” will cover a variety of topics on big data analytics’ role in the utility industry, specifically related to demand response.
“Demand response is a voluntary program that allows consumers to save money and utilities to conserve energy by remotely controlling heating and air conditioning systems during peak usage times,” said Vajjala. “Analytics solutions help utilities use the data they collect to gain real time insights and updates on peak usage times and peak price periods to determine the best times to employ demand response to ensure reliability of the electric grid and manage electric costs for customers.”
